In Doctrine and Covenants 124:60-72 we learn that the strength of the lord’s house was “commanded…to go to the Nauvoo House to serve as counsel and to stand upon her walls.” The Nauvoo House was not a temple. It was “to be a delightful habitation for man, and a resting-place for the weary traveler, that he may contemplate the glory of Zion….” We no longer have such a place to contemplate the glory of Zion. We pray this site might fill some of the hope that many seek.
